Reflection
All living things must grow. Humans are no exception. Standard V is all about growth.
Apple Certification. I was given a wonderful opportunity to attend the Apple Foundation Training in Cupertino, CA in February 2016. While I had a great time, the week was filled with learning and growing. We had homework every night and no two nights were the same. We were challenged and we had to collaborate with people we had never met before and might not every lay eyes on again. We learned a lot and had a spectacular time doing it.
Apple Collaboration. Once our training was over, we were placed in a private Facebook group where we continue to reach out to each other as needed. There have also been relationships that have branched off from the group. Collaboration with like-minded individuals is OK, but it is always interesting when there is someone who does not think as you do. The various backgrounds and experiences make us quite an eclectic bunch. However, that only makes the interactions more valuable.
Wix. My Wix site was actually created for a class, but completing it reminded me of just how important it is to be able to highlight your assets while remaining true to yourself.
Future Learning Goal
Once all of this is over, I am going to create a more thorough Wix site and link it to a more thorough ePortfolio that highlights the real things I've done in the past twelve years of my career. As I've mentioned throughout this adventure, I'd also like to get more certifications in various other areas and help more people. One of my greatest missions in life is to help others.
